About Chip Burson

Burson has been a writer, editor, story-teller, interviewer, and performance artist (license to act out) in his spare time for over fifty years. He describes himself as an 'inspired amateur professional'. He is a product of the Deep South, yet claims to be an 'accidental Yankee.’ Asked about his qualifications he says, "I am sort of a polymathic autodidact, but that sounds like a diagnosis that could get me locked up in the State Hospital; which in any event may be my eventual destination. Everyone should have a goal. I do have a driving license and a social security card. So I reckon I am credentialed to move around, and qualified to get a little check." Chip is former senior editor of Society South Magazine Auburn and producer of "Un-sung: Interviews with Un-sung Heroes and Quiet Masters.
