We are heading toward our first anniversary here at PorchScene! It’s been almost a year of great articles about southern travel, art, food, music and culture. We have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to share these great stories with our readers. We have posted over 100 unique articles from a variety of contributors about artists (Florida folk artist, Mary Proctor; Mississippi icon, Lee McCarty; Louisiana artist and musician, Dub Brock; Tennessee artist, Jimmy Crosthwait; and Alabama artist, Larry Godwin), music (original work by Chris Hall; history from Johnny Sumrall; and interesting events such as the 280 Boogie), great travel and food ( recipes, restaurant reviews and regional product recommendations), and the stories of our shared culture (some true and others a little “tall”) including wonderful poems by Patricia Neely-Dorsey. Creating original content is an ongoing process, and we welcome the contribution of your personal southern perspective. If you would like to contribute to PorchScene, we would love to hear from you. Your story can be told through words, pictures or video. This is definitely a “the more the merrier” opportunity! Becoming a contributor is easy. Simply email your article, pictures, or video to Mary@cap-consult.com. We will take care of the rest. Join us on the porch and share your unique southern experience!
